Job Summary

Lead Airbnb’s APAC tax strategy and compliance across multiple geos, owning tax obligations, risk management, and policy alignment. Key Responsibilities

•Own Airbnb’s regional tax obligations and risk management for APAC countries, acting as tax POC and interfacing with internal teams and external advisers to implement tax strategies
•Lead negotiations, audits, and interactions with government authorities (ATO, State Revenue Offices, National Tax Service) and oversee tax compliance and reporting
•Collaborate with APAC Finance, Legal, and Policy to monitor regulatory developments and communicate impact to the business
•Research and analyse new business initiatives (including M&A) and maintain documented tax advice for stakeholders
•Manage tax integration and special regional projects as Airbnb expands in APAC, ensuring alignment with HQ tax policy goals

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•12+ years of direct and indirect tax regional experience, including time at Big 4 and multinational tech companies
•CA/CPA and/or LLB/LLM preferred
•Regional tax experience in Australia and South Korea, including ATO/state tax audits and AP arrangements
•Ability to operate independently and act as a strategic business advisor across functions
•Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and travel internationally
