Job Summary

Lead second-party QMS audits across RTX business units to verify compliance with 91XX series, ISO 9001, and relevant regulatory/customer requirements. Plan and conduct audits, run lead-auditor activities, represent the audit team with site leadership, and produce detailed audit reports with non-conformances and corrective action approvals. Use data analytics to support audit planning, collaborate with EQA and Ops Excellence leads, and participate in corrective action review boards while traveling extensively.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, lead, and/or conduct second-party QMS audits for compliance with 91XX and ISO standards across RTX sites.
•Perform lead-auditor activities including audit planning, site leadership representation, opening/closing meetings, and daily debriefs.
•Ensure processes, products, and services meet internal, regulatory, and industry best-practice requirements.
•Complete detailed audit reports and review/approve corrective actions, ensuring implementation effectiveness.
•Support collaboration efforts and special audits/assessments, including participation in weekly Corrective Action Review Board meetings.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a University Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5 years, or 12 years without a degree.
•Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience, including at least 3 years in QMS auditing within aerospace, space, and defense.
•Familiarity with 91XX series and ISO 9001 standards.
•Current authenticated AS9100 Lead Audit certification (evidence required).
•Ability to obtain and maintain a secret U.S. government issued security clearance (required).
