Key Responsibilities

  • •Understand and/or generate program SOWs and defined customer component application requirements.
  • •Drive creation and management of obsolescence mitigation strategies across engineering, materials/process, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program leadership.
  • •Develop and sustain a proactive obsolescence management process to deliver cost-saving mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • •Drive resolution through lifetime buys, alternate part selections, redesign efforts, and related mitigation strategies, including support for contract negotiations and basis of estimates.
  • •Brief multiple levels of program leadership with consensus-building updates and executive overviews of build limitations, risks, and mitigation status.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant prior experience.
  • •Working knowledge of proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies.
  • •Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to discuss system impact of component obsolescence issues.
  • •Experience developing and managing BOM (Bill of Material) content for developmental and production programs using obsolescence management and engineering/subsystems design understanding.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required and an active/existing clearance is required after day 1.
