Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely while obeying traffic laws and all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load/unload goods and materials using specialized equipment; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service such as checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle’s weight (or chauffeur’s license depending on state).
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations, including a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Lift and move up to 40 pounds and be able to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
