Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver assigned Statement of Work scope independently, completing engagement deliverables and escalating architecture decisions.
  • •Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and tune GitLab reference architectures across cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments, including Geo, high availability, and Kubernetes deployments.
  • •Complete disconnected-network GitLab installations and upgrades using offline package management, container registry mirroring, and dependency staging.
  • •Configure GitLab against agency security baselines (including DISA STIG hardening, FIPS-compliant deployments, and SAML or PIV/CAC-backed authentication) and translate compliance requirements into GitLab configurations.
  • •Serve as primary technical contact for agency engineering/security teams; run workshops, document implementations, create runbooks/automation, and support authorization work with evidence assessors.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience delivering infrastructure or platform work in a customer-facing or consulting role, working independently across concurrent engagements.
  • •Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and ability to work in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (DC Metro only).
  • •Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.
  • •Experience deploying and administering GitLab, including CI/CD, the container registry, Premium or Ultimate features, and production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • •Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53/800-171, CMMC, and DISA STIGs, including how Authority to Operate and change control affect delivery.
