Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and maintain the standard cost system for all products, updating based on BOMs, labor, overhead, and material pricing across all SKUs.
  • •Perform manufacturing cost analysis to identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and cost improvement opportunities in production and packaging.
  • •Monitor and analyze COGS components (materials, labor, overhead) and ensure alignment with forecasts and actual performance.
  • •Run monthly and quarterly variance analyses (standard vs. actual, PPV, manufacturing variances, inventory valuation variances) with root-cause insights.
  • •Collaborate across procurement, operations, and supply chain to support inventory valuation accuracy, manage obsolescence risk, and support budgets, forecasts, reporting, close, and audits.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CMA strongly preferred.
  • •7+ years of cost accounting and financial analysis experience, preferably in CPG or manufacturing.
  • •Strong knowledge of standard costing, cost accounting methodologies, BOM structures, and inventory management/accounting.
  • •Advanced Excel skills plus experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics and MRPs advantageous) and BI/reporting tools.
  • •Excellent analytical and communication skills with proven cross-functional collaboration and ability to present complex information.
