Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate school-wide attendance efforts and absenteeism prevention, focusing on prevention and underlying causes of absenteeism.
  • •Monitor student adherence to school attendance policies in partnership with teachers.
  • •Contact families by email/calls and send auto-dial notices to targeted students; recommend families to administrators for truancy interventions as needed.
  • •Ensure state compliance for attendance progress and system logins, including attendance withdrawals and reporting requirements.
  • •Produce attendance/truancy reports, support referrals to service agencies through the Student Support Team, and help develop individualized action plans and workshops.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Two (2) years of truancy experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Ability to pass required background check.
  • •Knowledge of state school attendance laws and other applicable K-12 laws.
  • •Knowledge of state-specific court procedures regarding truancy.
