Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, plan, and build communications networks for the program at the Pentagon.
  • •Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrators for LAN/WAN systems.
  • •Monitor and maintain network connectivity and integrity while ensuring compliance, backup, and recovery capability.
  • •Perform maintenance and upgrades of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and remote access systems.
  • •Coordinate hardware/software improvements, evaluate new communications technologies, and provide guidance to less-experienced network personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • •5+ years of related experience in network engineering.
  • •Active Top Secret clearance required with ability to obtain SCI.
  • •Current IAT Level II certification required and a current networking certification (Brocade, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP, or Aruba) or willingness to obtain.
  • •Hands-on knowledge/experience with Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, or Aruba networking systems.
