Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer, support, and maintain enterprise network systems including network design, technology evaluations, architecture, topology development, and system specifications.
  • •Configure, implement, and maintain network hardware and services (Cisco routing/switching, Cisco VPN, Velocloud SD-WAN, Meraki wireless, ISE) and maintain remote access configuration.
  • •Monitor network performance using tools such as WhatsUp, MRTG, and Nectus; perform performance analysis and fault/problem management.
  • •Provide 24-hour on-call support with evening/weekend rotations, including monitoring the Peregrine ticket queue and responding within SLAs.
  • •Ensure change-control and request-fulfillment procedures are followed; coordinate with network teams, technical support, analysts, and client stakeholders to determine network requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •2 years equivalent work experience and general knowledge of Cisco router/switch configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • •Knowledge of TCP/IP and IP-based routing concepts, including working knowledge of Cisco IOS for routers and switches and understanding of routing protocols.
  • •Functional experience in network configuration and basic understanding of network troubleshooting methods.
  • •Administration experience with Unix, Linux, and Windows, plus DHCP configuration and maintenance.
  • •NERC certification required for work in a power plant environment.
