Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical authority for the Power & Propulsion System and approve key design and safety documentation across the engineering lifecycle.
  • •Oversee specification, design, test, and acceptance of vendor-supplied Power & Propulsion equipment against technical and project requirements.
  • •Provide expert guidance on product safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, supporting working groups and assurance activities.
  • •Collaborate with engineering teams and wider stakeholders to deliver work packages in line with programme plans, customer priorities, and engineering governance.
  • •Lead Power & Propulsion certification activities, design reviews, and stakeholder working groups to support successful system acceptance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 74,600 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in a STEM-related subject.
  • •Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) and membership of an appropriate professional institution.
  • •Strong experience in the design, manufacture, qualification and acceptance of marine Power & Propulsion Systems.
  • •Experience of working with naval standards and regulatory requirements in the defence sector.
  • •Experience of managing an Engineering delivery team.
