Job Summary

Own technical pre-sales for Cloudflare’s Developer Platform with a focus on cloud-native “Digital Native” startups. Lead technical discovery with engineering teams and CTOs, qualify opportunities, and run demos and proof-of-concept builds. Map customer initiatives—especially around new product development and AI/GenAI—onto Workers, Workers AI, Durable Objects, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, Pages, and related security/networking capabilities while evangelizing best practices and reference architectures.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical by asking the right questions about how customers build and where Cloudflare fits.
•Partner with sales from the start by joining discovery calls, qualifying opportunities, and staying embedded with customer teams throughout the cycle.
•Identify and map customer initiatives and business problems—especially around new product development and AI initiatives—to the Cloudflare platform.
•Build relationships and develop technical champions across customer accounts, from engineers to CTO.
•Deliver tailored technical content, demos, and proof-of-concept builds, and evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform as the foundation for customers’ next products and AI initiatives.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or other customer-facing technical role, ideally selling to developer-led, cloud-native, or startup organizations.
•Ability to hold credible technical conversations on architecture, APIs, and platform design without being a hands-on, code-every-day developer.
•Strong technical discovery skills to draw out requirements, qualify fit early, and separate real needs from noise.
•Comfort with pre-sales/technical sales work and operating in an agile, fast-moving environment.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
