Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, document, and maintain calibration systems, procedures, and methods for mechanical, pressure/vacuum, temperature, humidity, dimensional, and TMDE equipment.
  • •Evaluate new calibration methods and procedures, using statistics to analyze measurement standards and processes.
  • •Recommend calibration standards and TMDE, and maintain calibration laboratory and quality systems.
  • •Perform laboratory and/or departmental administration and management as required.
  • •Support calibration and repair of TMDE within the engineering department and assist in preparing multidisciplinary procedures and reports for the RSAF metrology programme.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed formal training (civilian or military) in electronic, electro-mechanical, or instrument-mechanical areas.
  • •Completed a recognized Graduate training programme.
  • •Hold a B.Sc.-level qualification in an appropriate subject (Physics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science).
  • •Demonstrate ability to write clear, concise reports and to analyze/resolve calibration and metrology problems using engineering judgment.
  • •At least five years of relevant practical experience in engineering metrology/calibration or allied functions in an appropriate environment.
