Job Summary

Lead and support z/Series Storage infrastructure in a large z/OS environment, covering hardware/software design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support. Drive technical project management for storage deployment and evergreening, set up automation to reduce manual interventions, test and exploit new functionality, and work to consolidate and simplify infrastructure. Own risk and cost management, meet service quality targets, and manage stakeholders and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical project management for large zSeries infrastructure deployment and evergreening projects.
•Design, configure, test, implement, and support zSeries Storage hardware and software.
•Set up automation to reduce manual interventions in the storage infrastructure.
•Test new software and exploit functionality.
•Manage risk and cost, ensure service quality targets, and coordinate business stakeholders and vendors.

Key Requirements

•Multiple years of z/OS systems experience with mainframe storage (IBM products), and day-to-day support for related products.
•Understanding of CA products including Vantage, CA Disk, and CA Allocate.
•Experience with storage platforms for object areas, including platforms such as Dell EMC ECS, NetApp StorageGrid, Veritas Enterprise Vault, OpenText InfoArchive, Cloudian, VAST, Scality, IBM COS, or Pure.
•Knowledge of hardware support and channel troubleshooting, plus IWS to analyze housekeeping schedules.
•Experience working in an Agile environment, including automation scripting with APIs using scripting languages such as Ansible and Python.
