Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead Embedded, one of Production Engineering’s two teams, and guide engineers tackling priority production challenges.
  • •Collaborate across engineering teams to influence important technical decisions and earn trust quickly.
  • •Define problems the team takes on, how engagements run, what “great” looks like, and how impact is measured.
  • •Create an environment for experienced engineers to do their best work through direction-setting, psychological safety, and direct coaching.
  • •Help scale successful engagement patterns into reusable engineering practices and capabilities across Canva.

Key Requirements

  • •Have experience leading highly experienced software engineers and technical leads through complex or ambiguous work, with strong coaching ability.
  • •Bring hands-on production experience where reliability, scalability, and production risk are critical.
