Key Responsibilities

•Develop theoretical models to connect first-principles calculations with experimental results in condensed matter systems.
•Collaborate with computational and experimental scientists and ML researchers to integrate AI approaches into physics research.
•Apply first-principles methods (e.g., density functional theory) to realistic material systems to guide experiments and interpretations.
•Contribute to modeling phenomena such as superconductivity and magnetism as part of research projects.
•Publish results and contribute to advancing the lab’s state-of-the-art models.

Key Requirements

•PhD in formal condensed matter theory for quantum materials.
•Deep expertise in relating theoretical models to real materials and experiments.
•Experience with running first principles calculations like density functional theory on realistic systems.
•Experience with deep learning, including but not limited to graph neural networks.
•Experience in modeling superconductivity and/or magnetism.
