Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop theoretical models to connect first-principles calculations with experimental results in condensed matter systems.
  • •Collaborate with computational and experimental scientists and ML researchers to integrate AI approaches into physics research.
  • •Apply first-principles methods (e.g., density functional theory) to realistic material systems to guide experiments and interpretations.
  • •Contribute to modeling phenomena such as superconductivity and magnetism as part of research projects.
  • •Publish results and contribute to advancing the lab’s state-of-the-art models.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in formal condensed matter theory for quantum materials.
  • •Deep expertise in relating theoretical models to real materials and experiments.
  • •Experience with running first principles calculations like density functional theory on realistic systems.
  • •Experience with deep learning, including but not limited to graph neural networks.
  • •Experience in modeling superconductivity and/or magnetism.
