Key Responsibilities

  • •Review academic literature, open-source methods, and emerging technologies for predictive formulation, machine learning/AI/agentic systems, automated data capture, image analysis, and computational chemistry.
  • •Develop digital tools to automate data capture, data quality assessment, feature extraction, data preparation, and model development workflows.
  • •Build predictive models and virtual experiment tools to help scientists explore formulation space and visualize predicted results.
  • •Explore and implement AI/LLM/agentic approaches for scientific knowledge extraction, data interpretation, experiment planning, and workflow automation.
  • •Design reusable code and documentation, summarize progress, communicate results to partners, and present a final demonstration.

Key Requirements

  • •Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Food Science, Chemical engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry, or a related field.
  • •Experience using Python or other data analysis/descriptive languages for data analysis, model development, workflow automation, or scientific research.
  • •Familiarity with areas such as machine learning/predictive modeling, AI/LLMs/agentic approaches, image analysis/computer vision, computational chemistry, data visualization/dashboards, and/or statistical analysis/design of experiments.
  • •Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret scientific data and communicate technical results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • •Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
