Key Responsibilities

•Deliver: Lead & verify the production of flood risk related documents (flood risk assessments, strategic flood risk assessments, flood risk activity permits, Section 19 reports, water resource chapters of EIAs).
•Expertise: Lead input into tenders for complex and high-profile projects including nationally significant infrastructure.
•Collaborate: Build relationships with clients and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver flood risk management projects.
•Quality: Stay updated on legislation and guidelines; use project management systems to deliver outputs on time and within budget.
•Lead: Mentor staff within the team to support their professional development.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline.
•Professional chartered member of CIWEM or ICE.
•Significant experience in technically leading teams in the production of flood risk assessments and/or flood risk activity permits.
•Strong track record of project management, following the principles of the NEC suite of contracts.
•Experience and understanding of hydraulic modelling as an evidence base to flood risk assessments / activity permits.
