Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver: Lead & verify the production of flood risk related documents (flood risk assessments, strategic flood risk assessments, flood risk activity permits, Section 19 reports, water resource chapters of EIAs).
  • •Expertise: Lead input into tenders for complex and high-profile projects including nationally significant infrastructure.
  • •Collaborate: Build relationships with clients and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver flood risk management projects.
  • •Quality: Stay updated on legislation and guidelines; use project management systems to deliver outputs on time and within budget.
  • •Lead: Mentor staff within the team to support their professional development.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline.
  • •Professional chartered member of CIWEM or ICE.
  • •Significant experience in technically leading teams in the production of flood risk assessments and/or flood risk activity permits.
  • •Strong track record of project management, following the principles of the NEC suite of contracts.
  • •Experience and understanding of hydraulic modelling as an evidence base to flood risk assessments / activity permits.
