Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and monitor optical processing equipment to produce high-precision optics per production schedule.
  • •Handle delicate optical components and visually identify abnormal characteristics.
  • •Maintain area, tooling, and equipment to 5S standards and escalate unsafe conditions.
  • •Identify and escalate product or process quality concerns in a timely manner.
  • •Inspect and clean optical surfaces, measure optical characteristics, and document time/attendance; assist with training employees.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
  • •Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or completion of a vocational certification preferable.
  • •Experience using measuring equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machine (CMM), and/or interferometer is desirable.
  • •Participation in continuous improvement efforts (quality circles, kaizen events, etc.).
