Job Summary

Lead design and project management for road schemes and active travel projects from inception to handover in the Ireland Roads team. Based in Limerick (N/M20 Project office), you’ll guide concept, preliminary and detailed designs for national road schemes, Public Transport and active travel schemes, manage multi-disciplinary inputs, and maintain client relationships while delivering on time and budget.

Key Responsibilities

•Project management and technical delivery lead for road/public transport/active travel schemes, ensuring coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs on projects of varying scale.
•Serve as a key client-facing advisor, developing trusted relationships and proactively managing client expectations.
•Act as project technical lead and reviewer, guiding design development and quality assurance.
•Lead and mentor other staff to develop design drawings, construction details and tender packages.
•Prepare fee proposals and manage budgets for individual projects, delivering discrete and overall project solutions.

Key Requirements

•Extensive post-professional qualification experience in design and project management of road schemes and active travel schemes.
•Experience leading concept, preliminary and detailed designs for major national road schemes and public transport/active travel schemes.
•Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution.
•Experience or knowledge of Civil3D/OpenRoads/Open Roads and WinDes design software.
•Strong communication, client management and stakeholder management skills.
