Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide strategic regulatory advice to internal/external stakeholders and senior management aligned with business objectives
  • •Anticipate and identify regulatory obligations and integrity risks, ensuring practical and scalable remediation
  • •Translate obligations into policies and procedures for global implementation
  • •Develop regulatory strategies across workstreams and products to support compliant, controlled growth
  • •Act as senior point of contact for regulators, manage external counsel, and drive alignment via process changes and incident management

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years’ experience in a regulatory and/or legal function focused on payments, financial services and/or fintech
  • •Knowledge of Japan’s payments, financial services and/or fintech industry
  • •Strong initiative and independence to take ownership in a fast-growing business
  • •Analytical and critical thinking to solve complex regulatory challenges while enabling business opportunities
  • •Interpersonal and communication skills, including experience managing relationships with internal stakeholders and/or regulators or supervisors
