Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and coordinate substation electrical design packages for small to mid-scale projects, ensuring technical accuracy, constructability, and client requirements.
  • •Prepare and review one-line and three-line diagrams, wiring and interconnection diagrams, control schematics, grounding, and protection concepts.
  • •Perform field visits and site walkdowns to validate design assumptions and address constructability questions.
  • •Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and electrical site layouts in coordination with owners, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • •Provide technical leadership, mentorship to junior engineers, and QA/QC adherence across project stages from concept to commissioning.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience delivering substation design deliverables for capital power transmission and distribution projects
  • •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without current or future employer sponsorship
  • •Proficient with electrical engineering principles applied to utility substation design and construction support
  • •Extensive knowledge of transmission and distribution substation infrastructure and related disciplines (P&C, SCADA, telecommunications)
