Key Responsibilities

  • •Control access to the facility through the admittance process.
  • •Prevent unauthorized access and protect physical assets from theft or destruction.
  • •Observe and report activities and incidents to ensure security and safety of people and property.
  • •Make periodic tours to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment and check for irregularities.
  • •Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle, respond to emergencies, and maintain proficiency with protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.

Salary: USD 27.43 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Be at least 21 years of age.
  • •Have at least 2 years of prior law enforcement, security guard, or military experience.
  • •Complete the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice course in armed (9mm), unarmed, baton, Mace (CS Gas), and handcuffing.
  • •Hold a current Virginia D.C.J.S. Private Security Service Registration card (armed Security Officer, unarmed Security Officer, and Alarm Respondent).
  • •Have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
