Key Responsibilities

•Prepare and sign actuarial opinions for Singapore with potential expansion to other jurisdictions; ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
•Lead the estimation and validation of technical provisions across multiple accounting frameworks, considering local requirements in each jurisdiction (Singapore, Hong Kong, India, South Korea, Japan).
•Collaborate with external actuarial consulting firms and support external audits for key regions.
•Provide detailed reserving analyses and insights to support financial reporting, business planning, and risk management; monitor emerging risks and update methodologies accordingly.
•Build and maintain relationships with regulators, auditors, external consulting firms, and regional/global actuarial teams; drive innovation in actuarial processes using technology and data analytics.

Key Requirements

•Fully qualified actuary (e.g., FIA, FSA, or equivalent) with the ability to sign actuarial opinions in Singapore; ability to sign in other jurisdictions is a plus (e.g., Hong Kong, India, South Korea, Japan).
•Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience in Asia Pacific with a strong focus on reserving in Commercial Insurance (P&C); reinsurance experience is a strong plus.
•Experience in Singapore regulatory requirements (MAS) and ability to ensure compliance with regulatory standards; MAS-appointed actuary knowledge is preferred.
•Proven ability to lead reserving estimation and validation across multiple accounting frameworks, including IFRS 17.
•Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams, regulators, auditors, and external actuarial consultants; English fluency required; local language proficiency is a plus.
