Job Summary

Design, build, operate, and optimize ByteDance’s global physical network for backbone, data centers, public cloud, and Edge/CDN. Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, operate, and optimize ByteDance’s global network including backbone, data center, public cloud, and Edge/CDN.
•Partner with cross-functional teams (compute, storage, database, recommendation systems) to drive network innovation.
•Coordinate with external vendors and ISPs for device and carrier selection, including testing and verification.
•Monitor and improve network performance to meet high availability, scalability, and high-performance requirements.
•Participate in ByteDance’s global network on-call rotation; travel may be required up to 15%–30%.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience based on 3+ years of work experience.
•Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, and MPLS-related technologies.
•Experience with network monitoring protocols and tools such as SNMP, Sflow/netflow, and telemetry.
•Familiarity with data center network architecture such as CLOS.
•Hands-on experience with major network devices (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Juniper, H3C, Huawei) and good English communication for daily work.
