Job Summary

Senior IT Infrastructure governance and architecture lead responsible for enterprise-wide governance of IT infrastructure design, high availability, and standards across F5’s hybrid and multi-cloud environment. A centralized, strategic role focusing on architecture governance, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR) while partnering with senior engineers and executives.

Job Function: Architecture & Urban Planning

Key Responsibilities

•Architecture & Design Governance: Evaluate current-state and proposed IT designs across backup infrastructure, networking, compute/storage, cloud platforms, and high availability; produce findings, gap analyses, and actionable recommendations.
•ARB & M&A Governance: Serve as reviewing authority on Architecture Review Board; lead infrastructure governance assessments for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; evaluate inherited environments and integration risk.
•Standards Ownership: Establish and enforce enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks for HA design, infrastructure resilience, and technology lifecycle; ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
•Assessment & Reporting: Conduct deep-dive assessments of as-is configurations and design documentation; translate findings into executive-level reports and remediation roadmaps.
•Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Network Operations, Security, and applications teams to guide redesigns and governance integration into change management.

•12+ years of progressive enterprise IT experience, with at least 5+ years in governance, architecture review, or enterprise assessment (not hands-on engineering).
•Domain expertise across two or more: backup/recovery architecture, network design, compute/storage design, cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), and high availability design patterns.
