Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, splice, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cable systems.
  • •Support aerial and underground outside plant construction activities.
  • •Read and interpret blueprints, splice diagrams, work prints, maps, and job specifications.
  • •Maintain outside plant equipment and infrastructure (handholes, pedestals, cabinets, terminals, closures).
  • •Follow safety, traffic control, OSHA, and recordkeeping requirements; coordinate with teams and support emergency restoration as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • •High School Diploma/GED.
  • •Active, unexpired DoD 8570.01-M certification (CompTIA Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) at hire or within 60 days.
  • •Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation, splicing, termination, and testing, with ability to read construction drawings and network diagrams.
  • •Valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work outdoors/confined spaces, climb ladders, and travel to job sites as needed.
