Job Summary

Lead release engineering across Java backend services, Node.js platform, and iOS client apps. Define a cohesive release strategy, architect end-to-end release pipelines, and drive governance, tooling, and observability to safely ship code authored by humans and AI agents at scale. You’ll mentor engineers and set the standard for release engineering across multiple runtimes.

Key Responsibilities

•Define release strategy across three runtimes (Java, Node.js, iOS) and lead its execution
•Architect and build agentic release pipelines enabling AI coding agents to propose, validate, and ship changes securely
•Oversee release automation and tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite; artifact registries; code signing; reproducible builds)
•Establish branching, versioning, and cut strategies (trunk-based dev, semantic versioning, release trains)
•Develop observability and rollback plans (deployment dashboards, canary rollouts, fast rollback)
•Ensure compliance and supply chain security (SLSA-aligned provenance, vulnerability gating, secret scanning)
•Provide technical leadership and mentorship to MTS/SMTS engineers and cross-org architecture forums

Key Requirements

•8+ years in release engineering, build engineering, or developer infrastructure with demonstrated technical leadership on a platform-scale system
•Hands-on release experience with at least two of: JVM ecosystem (Maven/Gradle, Spring Boot), Node.js ecosystem (npm/pnpm/yarn, monorepos), or iOS (Xcode build settings, code signing, provisioning, App Store submission, TestFlight)
•Deep CI/CD platform expertise (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite, CircleCI, or similar) and the ability to debug pipelines from logs
•Strong scripting (Bash, Python, or TypeScript) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi)
•Deep Git internals (rebases, bisects, signed commits, hooks, monorepo workflows) and release governance for orgs of 100+ engineers
•Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives end-to-end and driving alignment across engineering, security, and product
