Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct inspections on wheeled vehicles and trailers during turn-in to verify condition and compliance with Army standards.
  • •Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and brake system malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance checks (PMCS).
  • •Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, electrical, and braking systems, including lubrication and parts replacements.
  • •Record findings, repairs, and maintenance actions on DA forms or automated maintenance records and maintain maintenance logs for audit readiness.
  • •Follow Army, OSHA, and company safety regulations, including HAZMAT handling, spill prevention, and environmental standards, and coordinate with turn-in operations teams.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training in vehicle mechanics preferred.
  • •3–5 years of experience in motor vehicle maintenance (Army tactical/non-tactical experience strongly preferred).
  • •Familiarity with U.S. Army maintenance procedures, PMCS, and technical manuals (TMs) and Army maintenance regulations (AR 750-1, DA PAM 750-8).
  • •Ability to read and interpret Army TMs, schematics, and diagrams; knowledge of condition code classification and turn-in documentation.
  • •Must have a valid driver’s license and Real ID; selected candidate must bring/use their own tools; must be able to travel within the U.S. if required.
