Job Summary

Director of Purchasing leading strategic sourcing initiatives across Europe to optimize the supply base, achieve cost savings, and drive supplier performance improvement. Responsible for procurement leadership, P2P transformation, and cross-functional collaboration with Sourcing, Planning, Risk Management, and Business Units. Hybrid role in Bucharest or Lugoj with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, overseeing global purchasing teams and supplier Master data.

•Manage buyers’ and supervisors’ execution and performance, including P.O placement and material availability.
•Coordinate with cross-functional teams to enable scheduling changes and deliver forecasts to suppliers; manage supplier lead times.
•Ensure purchased materials align with operational needs, considering cost, quality, and timeliness to maintain supply continuity.
•Develop and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
•Maintain 100% accuracy of supplier setup and master data, update material lead-times and optimize minimum order quantities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
•10+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain, with senior leadership responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
•Proven capability to lead and develop global or regional purchasing teams, including performance management and talent pipeline development.
•Strong expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations, purchasing execution, and operational transformation.
•Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, contracts, and continuity of supply.
