Job Summary

Lead the design, development, and integration of FPGA-based embedded systems to support launch operations and test infrastructure. You’ll develop FPGA firmware from concept to production, including custom IP cores, high-speed interfaces, hardware/software integration, and test-stand FPGA development. Work with a small team of hardware, software, and systems engineers to deliver high-performance data acquisition and processing solutions used across every mission and flight.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, and verify FPGA firmware for AMD/Xilinx-based systems, including SoC and ACAP architectures.
•Debug and validate firmware through hardware-in-the-loop testing and system integration.
•Collaborate with hardware engineers on FPGA I/O requirements and board-level interfaces.
•Collaborate with software engineers to design CPU driver interfaces for custom IP cores, including memory-mapped registers and interrupts.
•Create and maintain technical documentation (design specs, timing reports, test plans) and contribute to FPGA/embedded architecture decisions and design reviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 135,000 - 225,000 annually

•Proficiency with HDL languages (VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog) and Vivado for synthesis, implementation, and debugging.
•Experience building FPGA designs from concept through production and troubleshooting integration issues.
