Key Responsibilities

  • •Build learning loops into the product using user behavior and business data, shipping recommendation-first experiences from prototype to production.
  • •Stand up the ML and data platform, including data lake foundations, serving infrastructure, and evaluating tools to accelerate Clay’s vision.
  • •Build eval systems and online monitoring to ensure learning features are trustworthy and positively impact user experience.
  • •Partner across product teams, using the Learning Team’s shared roadmap to make product surfaces smarter.
  • •Collaborate with data science and data platform teams to align on a common data language and standards.

Salary: USD 170,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in machine learning engineering or ML-heavy software engineering, shipping ML-powered features to production.
  • •Strong engineering fundamentals, writing production-quality code and owning systems.
  • •Experience with LLMs in production (prompting, evals, guardrails, fine-tuning) and/or classical ML (ranking, recommendations, propensity models).
  • •Experience building data-intensive systems including pipelines, feature infrastructure, retrieval, and serving.
  • •Pragmatic product sense and comfort with ambiguity while operating in a greenfield platform-building environment.
