Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead backend development by building and maintaining server-side logic.
  • •Take ownership of services end to end: deploy, operate, and keep them healthy in production.
  • •Maintain production environments with CloudEng, including monitoring and alerting using OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • •Participate in on-call/off-hours support: triage and resolve production issues and investigate incidents.
  • •Contribute to API design and cross-functional alignment, including code reviews and security/privacy reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on backend technologies.
  • •Strong backend experience building back-end services using Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust, including leading backend engineering projects.
  • •Proficiency with PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization, including relational schema design and migrations with a query builder such as Knex.
  • •Hands-on DevOps experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Docker-based build/deploy pipelines, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting services in the cloud.
  • •Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Sentry and Grafana, plus a pragmatic commitment to shipping reliable quality work.
