Key Responsibilities

  • •Build, expand, and operate ByteDance’s global infrastructures across public/private clouds, data centers, and content delivery networks.
  • •Develop tools, automation, visualizations, and monitors to operate and optimize infrastructure.
  • •Participate in technical operations and rotations in response to performance and reliability issues.
  • •Improve the infrastructure service lifecycle from inception and design through development, deployment, user support, and refinement.
  • •Deploy, configure, and automate cloud operations; develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and proof-of-concept demos.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related fields.
  • •5+ years working with Unix/Linux systems (kernel to shell) including system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.
  • •5+ years with system-level apps such as DNS, APT, LDAP, Nginx, CI/CD, Ansible, and Packer.
  • •3+ years in one or more languages (Java, C++, Go) or scripting with Shell and Python.
  • •Experience designing and building automation/tools for large-scale systems, including AWS, Google Cloud, OCI, or other cloud services.
