Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet models, and statements of work).
  • •Drive development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing and component qualification completion ahead of production.
  • •Lead cost engineering and value-stream mapping to optimize supply lead time and flexibility, reduce complexity via commonality and component rationalization, and handle ad-hoc cost issues (e.g., tariffs/import-export cost, cost inflation).

Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
  • •5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level.
  • •Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • •Ability to relocate to be onsite in Huntsville, AL (if not already local).
