Job Summary

Support highway and linear infrastructure roadway design tasks within AECOM’s Linear Infrastructures team. Under supervision, you’ll perform geometric design activities for highways or railways, prepare and update 2D/3D drawings, models, and layouts using engineering and CAD software, and produce detailed CAD documentation. You’ll coordinate drafting and modeling work with teammates, collect and organize design data, and complete self-checks before submitting deliverables for review.

Key Responsibilities

•Work on defined portions of larger highway or linear infrastructure projects under supervision of designers or senior engineers.
•Perform day-to-day design support tasks, including geometric design for highways or railways.
•Prepare and update 2D and 3D drawings, models, and layouts according to project requirements and design standards.
•Use engineering and CAD software to solve basic engineering problems and develop geometric design skills.
•Produce detailed drawings, mark-ups, and CAD documentation, coordinate drafting/modeling tasks with teammates, and perform self-checks before submission.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record working on highway designs (+4 years).
•Experience with highway design and/or railway design, or strong appetite to develop a technical career in this field.
•Experience in geometrical design using at least one of: InRoads, OpenRoads / OpenRail, Rail Track, Civil 3D, Geopak, or 12d Model.
•Good command of CAD software, including MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
•Communicative level of English (oral and written).
