Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to deliver an industry-leading search engine focused on speed and relevance.
  • •Build new search features and fix complex bugs, making the code easier to understand and improving algorithms and data structures as needed.
  • •Work with a globally distributed team to advance vector search capabilities in Elasticsearch.
  • •Identify and drive improvements in search relevance based on expertise and investigation.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong core Java skills, including data structures and concurrency concepts, and familiarity with modern Java features like lambdas.
  • •Ability to take projects from beginning to end, covering technical design and collaborating with engineers to deliver components.
  • •Comfort working autonomously and leading outcomes in a distributed environment using asynchronous, direct, and transparent communication.
