Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and continuously develop safety skills and habits to keep safe; demonstrate strong safety leadership.
  • •Support the Mine Engineering group which may include rotating roles.
  • •Perform Mine Geology and Ore control tasks, including daily ore control field checks and communicating blend plans to mine and mill departments.
  • •Conduct pit wall mapping; operate drones and process resulting data.
  • •Support ongoing grade control improvement initiatives and mine-to-mill projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or similar education in Geology/Geological Engineering.
  • •1+ years Open pit mine experience is preferred.
  • •Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office, MinePlan, Leapfrog Geo and Wenco would be an asset.
  • •Geological experience mapping and logging of porphyry or similar deposit types would be an asset.
