Key Responsibilities

  • •Use tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track service intervals; order parts; and diagnose root causes with data from many equipment makes/models.
  • •Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop and at customer locations, performing repairs and preventive maintenance when required.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at the shop and customer sites (individually or with other technicians).
  • •Maintain daily electronic documentation/work orders and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read/understand schematics.
  • •Strong customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred (and EPA 608 certification preferred, obtainable within 6–12 months).
