Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time along required routes while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload equipment/materials using specialized equipment when warranted; assist with shipping-yard trailer arrangements.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices and shipping bills of lading) and perform routine vehicle service (e.g., checking oil/water/gas/air), reporting malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or the required chauffeur’s license for the vehicle/weight operated.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing and complete a DOT physical for vehicles over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Remain focused in a busy environment and communicate professionally with customers and staff.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
