Job Summary

Design, build, and maintain data pipeline and warehousing infrastructure to support analysis of large datasets. Partner with data scientists/analytics and stakeholders to prioritize engineering projects aligned to business goals. Own extraction/transformation/loading from APIs, streams, and data stores, while monitoring performance, reliability, scalability, efficiency, and security. Continuously improve the platform by applying the latest data engineering practices and enhancing the team’s DevOps capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with data scientists/analytics and stakeholders to identify and prioritize data engineering projects aligned to business goals.
•Design, build, and maintain data pipeline architecture for ETL from APIs, data streams, and data stores.
•Monitor and optimize performance and reliability, implementing solutions to improve scalability, efficiency, and security.
•Stay current with data engineering trends and use them to drive improvements and innovation.
•Implement data privacy and security requirements and enhance the team’s DevOps capabilities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•5+ years of professional experience in data engineering building and maintaining data pipelines and data warehouses.
•Strong experience with Spark, Scala, and Python for high-performance, maintainable code.
•Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Athena, Kinesis/Firehose, Lambda, and EMR.
•Experience with data pipeline orchestration and scheduling (e.g., Airflow) and familiarity with data warehousing concepts (e.g., SQL, data lakes).
