Job Summary

Support TikTok’s Global Content & Partnerships Legal team by leading legal work for complex US commercial matters, including technology transactions, strategic agreements, and media/entertainment content licensing. Provide practical, risk-calibrated advice to business teams and senior leadership, partner with cross-functional stakeholders for launches and partnerships, and improve legal operations with scalable templates, playbooks, and workflows while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead legal support for complex commercial matters across the US, with flexibility to support wider regional and global initiatives as needed.
•Advise on and negotiate technology transactions and strategic commercial agreements with US partners.
•Advise on and negotiate content licensing arrangements in the media and entertainment space, including rights related to professionally generated content, production, distribution, and related rights.
•Provide clear, practical legal advice to business teams and senior leadership while balancing commercial objectives with legal, regulatory, and reputational risk.
•Develop scalable legal support processes (templates, playbooks, workflows, training) and mentor more junior team members where appropriate.

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in at least one US state bar.
•Extensive experience in private practice and/or in-house, with substantial drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements.
•Substantive experience in technology transactions (SaaS, PaaS, IT outsourcing), strategic product partnerships, and/or content licensing and related media/entertainment distribution rights.
•Ability to independently manage high-value, high-visibility transactions from start to finish with strong business judgment.
•Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences and drive outcomes.
