Job Summary

Perform operational duties at the Houston Central Natural Gas Complex to ensure safe and efficient plant equipment and process operations. Start, stop, and operate pumps, compressors, coolers, expanders, and chillers within operating parameters while communicating with control room operators and shift leads. Maintain safety compliance (LO/TO, Hot Work, JSA, Confined Space), troubleshoot equipment, complete PMs, support preventive maintenance, and act as a first responder during spills or emergencies, including required documentation and training.

Key Responsibilities

•Carry out operational duties throughout the gas complex to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and processes.
•Start, stop, and operate pumps, compressors, coolers, expanders, and chillers within defined operating parameters, maintaining communications with control room operators and shift leads.
•Ensure compliance with plant safety regulations including LO/TO, Hot Work, JSA, and Confined Space.
•Perform troubleshooting on facility equipment, create accurate work tickets, and assist maintenance and E&C departments with preventive and regular maintenance.
•Complete weekly, monthly, and yearly PMs and safety PMs; act as a first responder in spill or emergency situations and maintain required documentation/record keeping.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
•Respond to and address callouts and emergencies, including after dark hours and after regular business hours.
•Basic computer skills, including sending/receiving email, maintaining records, and manipulating motor controlled valves for normal DCS plant operation.
•Ability to work safely in extreme weather, climb/lift as required, follow work rules, and work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
