Job Summary

Experienced silicon validation engineer to lead validation for AMD’s next-generation CPU cores and caches. Based in Fort Collins, CO, you will work in a silicon lab, set up hardware for at-speed testing, develop and debug x86 software for validation, and drive cross-team deliverables with RTL, DFT and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Work in a silicon lab helping to creatively solve challenging problems
•Set up hardware systems to enable at-speed testing and debug
•Based on thorough understanding of the design architecture, develop, run, and debug x86 software to validate functionality and testability operation of the microprocessor design, leveraging programming and scripting skills
•Drive project deliverables/dependencies with cross-discipline/site RTL, DFT and Implementation design teams along with product manufacturing teams
•Solve design and tool problems requiring ground-breaking approaches and champion innovation across the organization

Key Requirements

•BS/MS in EE, CS, CSE (or similar)
•Prior experience with validation of microprocessors/ASIC hardware in a lab setting
•Proven programming proficiency in x86 assembly, C/C++, Perl, Ruby and Python languages along with strong logic simulation competence
•Knowledge of Verilog HDL and System Verilog
•Demonstrated solid understanding of modern computer architecture
