Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform all aspects of insurance defense, including investigation, legal analysis and advice, and preparing/filing legal pleadings.
  • •Conduct legal research, prepare for and manage pre-trial discovery, and handle hearings and trials.
  • •Develop and manage case strategy in collaboration with the claims adjuster and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • •Document and update case files in compliance with best practices.
  • •Provide guidance/mentoring to lower-level attorneys and maintain confidentiality and legal compliance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Litigation area.
  • •Member in good standing of the California State Bar Association.
  • •Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • •Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance defense litigation legal environment.
