Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with cross-functional teams of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love.
  • •Leverage a broad stack (Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more) to extract insights from large numeric and textual datasets.
  • •Build machine learning models end-to-end from design and training through evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • •Help ensure all models used to underwrite the Discover Card portfolio are well-managed.
  • •Translate complex analytics into clear outcomes and decisions.

Salary: USD 229,900 - 262,400 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related) plus 7 years of data analytics experience, or a Master’s (or MBA with quantitative concentration) plus 5 years, or a PhD plus 2 years.
  • •At least 2 years of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large-scale data analysis.
  • •At least 2 years of experience working with machine learning.
  • •At least 2 years of experience utilizing relational databases.
  • •At least 1 year of experience managing people (preferred).
