Job Summary

Build and grow merchant relationships for Key Merchant Services within Consumer Business Banking. Prospect and consult with small and medium-sized businesses to recommend and sell payment solutions, including credit card, check processing, gift cards, ACH, and related hardware/software. Identify additional banking needs, partner with internal teams to deliver solutions, and resolve client issues to maintain satisfaction and drive profitable, retained revenue.

Key Responsibilities

•Acquire new merchant services relationships through prospecting and referrals within the assigned territory.
•Consult with prospective businesses to identify proper payment solutions and sell merchant payment processing (credit card, check processing, gift cards, ACH) plus related hardware/software.
•Identify merchants other banking needs and coordinate with internal resources to deliver appropriate solutions.
•Prospect small and medium-sized businesses in the assigned region to supplement referrals.
•Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, act ethically, and resolve client issues to ensure satisfaction.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 48,000 - 72,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
•1+ year of payments-related experience in a banking environment.
•1+ year of success in a client-focused environment with aggressive growth and service goals.
•Strong financial acumen, including ability to read and understand financial statements.
•Exceptional negotiating and closing skills with strong communication abilities.
