Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide hands-on day-to-day technical leadership by prioritizing, reviewing, and championing audits and compliance initiatives and other research projects.
  • •Develop audit checks and compliance plugins to detect security misconfigurations using Tenable’s products, extending coverage to new technologies.
  • •Externalize team capabilities through knowledge sharing and by building relationships for internal collaboration.
  • •Externalize capabilities to customers, potential customers, partners, and standards bodies.
  • •Mentor research engineers and manage day-to-day team responsibilities including performance reviews, time off, HR coordination, and IT resource management.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of experience in security research as an individual contributor, with management or team lead experience preferred.
  • •Experience working with international and remote teams.
  • •Strong communication and organizational skills, able to collaborate and drive efforts across multiple organizations.
  • •Experience leading and performing open-ended security research based on high-level requirements.
  • •Familiarity with Python, Go, and SCAP/OVAL, including the ability to perform code reviews for quality and accuracy.
