Job Summary

Lead and review mechanical design for wastewater and water infrastructure projects across feasibility, outline, detail, and construction design. Use AECOM digital tools such as BIM, Projectwise, and intelligent P&IDs while mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, manage and review mechanical elements design for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects including pumping stations, headloss calculations, pump selection, screens, grit removal, penstocks, valves, odour control, and plant/pipework layouts.
•Engage across all design stages (Feasibility, Outline, Detail, Construction Design) ensuring compliance with national and international design standards.
•Collaborate with other discipline teams locally and nationwide, communicate with clients, and delegate/direct and mentor more junior staff.
•Lead preparation and management of bids and proposals, interfacing with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
•Review and verify client deliverables including calculations, drawings and technical reports; deliver designs within agreed budgets and timelines and support project delivery for multiple water clients.
