Job Summary

Lead business development and licensing initiatives to drive Julphar’s growth and expansion in Egypt. Identify and evaluate partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions, develop strategic plans to increase market share, and manage licensing deals from first contact through contract execution and implementation. Manage alliance activities and due diligence, build relationships across pharma/biotech and academic stakeholders, and partner cross-functionally with R&D, regulatory, marketing, portfolio management, and legal to align strategies.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify and evaluate new business opportunities including partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions.
•Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
•Lead negotiations and manage licensing agreements and collaborations with external partners from initial contact to contract execution and implementation.
•Lead alliance management for signed contracts and run due diligence for licensing projects.
•Serve as primary point of contact for business development inquiries and coordinate with R&D, regulatory affairs, marketing, portfolio management, and legal teams to align objectives.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
•More than 5 years in similar business development roles, with at least 10 years of experience in the Pharma industry.
•Proven business development and licensing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry in MENA.
•Strong understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
•Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus.
