Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with a mentor to find solutions to real-world problems during the 10–12 week internship experience.
  • •Assist ergonomics efforts by evaluating ergonomic risk in factories and office environments and helping identify solutions to reduce or eliminate ergonomic stressors.
  • •Support industrial hygiene by conducting sampling, analyzing industrial hygiene data, and helping improve compliance and exposure reduction solutions.
  • •Contribute to workplace safety by evaluating health and safety risk and maintaining regulatory compliance while implementing new tooling, technology, or process changes.
  • •Support environmental efforts by working with EHS teams across environmental disciplines such as air quality, storm water, hazardous waste, solid waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, and underground storage tanks.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks (12 weeks preferred) during the summer; start work in May or June with flexibility based on school schedule.
  • •Currently enrolled as a student at a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027.
  • •Majoring in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Safety, Sustainability, Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related.
  • •Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above).
  • •Preferred skills include computing skills such as Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel), presentation skills, and data analysis.
